SECONDARY EDUCATION

Finalidad de la Educación Secundaria Obligatoria (ESO)

The stage of Compulsory Secondary Education comprises four academic years, typically taken between the ages of twelve and sixteen. It is organized into subjects and consists of two cycles, the first comprising three academic years (1st ESO, 2nd ESO, 3rd ESO) and the second consisting of one (4th ESO). Traditionally, our campus has two classrooms per grade level with a student enrollment ranging between 10 and 15 students per classroom.

The purpose of Compulsory Secondary Education is to ensure that students acquire the basic elements of culture, especially in its humanistic, artistic, scientific, and technological aspects; to develop and consolidate study and work habits in them; to prepare them for further studies and their integration into the workforce and professional life; and to train them for the exercise of their rights and responsibilities in life as citizens. With these purposes in mind, our Educational Project promotes the constructive development of student-centered education through the implementation of active methodologies that consolidates our standards of academic excellence.

Likewise, it pays special attention to the educational and career guidance of students and is organized according to the principles of common education and attention to diversity.

Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) also includes among its pedagogical principles the learning of foreign languages. In this regard, we multiply and normalize the use of languages through our English Strategy while also encouraging the teaching of French.

The development of oral and written expression and comprehension, creativity, emotional education, health education, gender equality, as well as environmental education through our Eco-School Project , are also worked on transversally across all subjects.

For the teaching and assessment of academic content in Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO), CEEH follows the organizational and methodological criteria of the Integrated Center for Distance Education (CIERD). Upon completion of this stage, students receive the title of Graduate in Compulsory Secondary Education, which enables them to access Baccalaureate or Intermediate Vocational Training.

Both educational stages coexist within the same school environment and share their learning spaces. Their outdoor areas stand out for their versatility of use as well as for facilitating contact with nature.

Our Pillars

Alumnos de Educación Secundaria

1-We validate our academic achievements.

The exhaustive teaching of the syllabi, as well as a systematic evaluative process, underpin our high academic standards. Classes are developed based on thorough teaching of the curriculum content and clear organization of the entire teaching process. This training received by the students enables them to successfully face the demands of an instructional process evaluated under the highly qualified criteria of our teachers and those of the Cidead professors: their results validate our academic achievements.

2- Inclusive and intercultural education

In an environment of cultural plurality, supported by more than ten nationalities, and educational inclusion, the school life of our students unfolds. The pursuit of the value of singularities in our classrooms stimulates the creation of universal values in everything that unites us. The development of plural learning spaces fosters respect and solidarity in our students and consequently impacts the society in which we live.

We propose an education that finds in itself an instrument that allows the transformation of old paradigms and shows respect for diversity. Precisely, inclusive, and pluricultural education has as its horizon the right to equality of access and educational opportunities.

3- Autonomy as a guarantor for intellectual and social development.

Autonomy is not only something to be discovered but something we actively create. With this purpose in mind, we direct our actions to promote freedom of action and thought within the school environment, while fostering responsibility and self-confidence. We advocate for active and conscious participation in the teaching-learning process that contributes to the formation of adolescents who are aware of their actions through reflection.
